Scrolling items/bricks terribly slow

Whenever I play blockland, my typical scrolling speed (an average speed) is WAY too slow; however this is only for the items menu and brick hotbar. Scrolling through the server's list and Steam UI reflects that of my ACTUAL scroll wheel's speed, which, if I want to be able to play Blockland properly, is really fast because I have to crank the scroll speed all the way up.

Holding ctrl speeds up the scrolling in lots of menus like eventing or item selection, maybe try to hold that.
Otherwise, a new mouse may help.
