I will explain what it is because I still want to say it.
Basically, our universe might be in some sort of, "supercooled" phase, like supercooled water. As you might already know, supercooled water almost instantly turns into ice when even a tiny, localised disturbance, like a speck of dust falling on the water.
This "speck of dust" that will turn our supercooled universe into a new fabric of spacetime, the "ice", would be a rip in our normal space caused by whatever. This rip will change our normal spacetime into some weird-ass new one, as a bubble expanding at the speed of light.
