But imagine just a download button on the page you're already watching the video on...

I am wondering how they handle music videos...

I'm pretty sure there are a number of Chrome and Firefox addons that do this exact thing. Some of them even have a direct "download now" button embedded right next to the video.

Just use clipcc with a proxy server.

I think you're all missing the point that this is YouTube saying: "Here, download these videos and watch them ad-free forever!" But only for India.

Can't you write "ss" in the URL and it downloads it?
