Hdmi is the same thing as dvi. But includes sound.



hdmi cant even do anything higher then 1080/1200.
like it caps at 30hz when at 1440p i believe. and nothing BUT display port is acceptable for 4k monitors (cap at 60hz). at least as far as what ports monitors and video cards even have.

hdmi2 is supposed to be badass but no monitors use it so meh

Support for display port, whilst still growing however, is pretty stuffty... people are usually using DVI or HDMI still (or heaven forbid you're still using a VGA for that CRT monitor of yours).

i hate how video cards even have dvis lol.
high end cards should just have like 2 display ports and 3 hdmis. thats it lol

my second monitor is using a VGA cable going into a DVI-I adapter :^)

The GTX 770 has DVI-I, HDMI, Display Port, and (I really can't believe they still manufacture this type) S-Video.
