so i managed to put together a pretty good sideways-firing cruiser, but then some purple/blue starfish blew me up while i was picking off a disabled enemy

this game can be pretty mercyless. even a weak enemy can pick you apart with a few well placed shots

I honestly lost the desire to play before trying to get any purple pieces.

I mean, when your only support is picking up the damaged leftovers of whatever it was you were trying to kill for an upgrade, and you can be punished for it at any given moment, there's just nothing that makes me want to keep going.
