Author Topic: Is just me or Tablets are slowly fading away?  (Read 1073 times)

it's not that they're fading, it's more like what made tablets (and smartphones) special is the norm now and it's not really exciting or as interesting, hence why it feels like it's "fading"

they are, its because nothing news coming out of them

I've always seen it like this, tablets are more for home use and phones are more for bringing on the go. The provlen is that a tablet gas no real big advantage except for the bigger screen wbich may not even be an advantage to some people.
As others have said it's not something that's new and it's something that we use daily more often, so there isn't anything new to come out of it therefore people don't talk about it that much.

I use my tablet daily and almost never use the computers other than for school or games

tablets are pretty useless

nvidia shield life

8 inch screen fits perfectly in my sweater pocket

super resourceful for school - I hate using the macbooks or ipads they provide for online research or whatever

I use my tablet for mobile stuff because my craptop sucks too hard now. Doesn't help that my iPad Air is officially better at running Turbo Dismount than the craptop

Tablets are good for, like, browsing reddit and watching movies. For most people, a laptop and a phone are enough.

tablets have no use whatsoever
they're only slightly more portable than a laptop, which is way more powerful

there is literally no advantage (other than that your laptop may not have a touchscreen but that's trivial)
unless your laptop is worse than your tablet in which case instead of buying a tablet you should have upgraded your laptop
although the ms surface doesn't look dreadful

Nah.  They've at least gotten a pretty solid market in retail, and as far as personal use goes, there is a fairly sizeable market.

I'm seeing MORE stores use iPads for transaction purposes.
