Get your head on screwed straight and stop staring with stuff smeared vision, things have only gotten better over time.
I'm going to assume you're being aggressive because you had a bad day today. Did your mom put superglue in your hair last night?
Directed at everyone:
Recent years makes sense due to larger trained police forces and more crackdown on crimes coupled with better investigations essentially scaring most would-be offenders away from being criminals.
My issue was with 50-100 years ago. Widespread shootings in schools and public areas, bombings, and most terrorist activities simply weren't commonplace things.
As I've heard, violence primarily picked up in the '70s (Vietnam era). Columbine happened in the '90s and it seems that domestic terrorism has escalated from there.
But whatever, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. It's too late at night for me to argue effectively right now. If I were comparing 2005 to now, then yes, I'm sure we're in better hands now than at that time.
