lmao

I think people want to make this into yet another story about racism. That poor minority who wasn't allowed to express his heritage. But we need to stop focusing on the fact that the kid is native american, and that whoever got him in trouble is probably white, and focus on what's really important here: The fact that schools still think it's any of their damn business to tell anyone what to do with their hair. It is a huge loving pet peeve of mine that an institution of education (a mandatory institution of education, no less) is allowed to even have standards of how it's students should look.

It is a school's job to teach you things and get you ready for the world. It is not a school's job to regulate your personal decisions such as what you want to do with your appearance. I can't believe they are actually allowed to cause such a huge stink over something as trivial as someone's hairstyle.

are we gonna send him a ton of hair cosmetics for being a hero

the real questions

Yeah I don't think this was racism. He should be allowed to wear the hairstyle though.

Mohawks are basically ninja stars stuck in your head

But it’s a symbol his school called a distraction — one that got him pulled from class.

"Distraction"

Ooh man, ya better watch out, he's got a mildly non-traditional hairstyle, all eyes are gonna be on him

should've brought a clock
