Author Topic: Hello Again, BLF: A (Not so) cleverly disguised "Can we start over?" Thread.  (Read 3106 times)

are you dolar?
wow the newest joke that people will use instead of alt now

what about the spongebob apology that worked pretty well and spongebob actually changed

how uptight are you right now scale of 1-10
people doubt apologies because it's a "boy who cried wolf" situation- there have been so many people throughout the forum's history who made apology threads and never changed that, by inductive reasoning, if someone makes an apology thread, we can reasonably assume that they won't be true to their word

public apology threads are a form of attention whoring. thats one reason why they are always moved to drama. its very simple.

or it's people apologizing...?
Anyways acting like a stuff to people because of a joke gallery topic is getting more attention than yours is is attention whoring

PMs exist for a reason. Making an entire thread to tell everyone how "sorry you feel" is attention whoring + pleading for sympathy.

Calling out stuffposting and garbage joke threads =/= attention whoring.

what, are you gonna PM the entire forum rather than post it? He was apologizing for his behavior a few years ago. People always say that actions speak louder than words, and despite that being true the BLF never gives them a second chance and keeps looking at them with the same disgusted face. You've gotta give them a chance in order for them to be able to redeem themselves. He wanted people to know that he is or will change, and now he'll either change or not change.

I agree with dry, but the way that op worded this post makes it seem like attention whoring.

He was apologizing for his behavior a few years ago.
All the more reason to not bring up your past. If you've really changed you don't go and make a big apology begging, attention-grabbing thread. Especially when what you're apologizing for happened YEARS ago. That's why this thread is pure attention whoring.

did you even read what I said
someone's gotta be bound to remember him, and they would remember what he did wrong and call him out on it. Then other people, in natural curiosity, would go and see the possible drama threads about him and judge him based off of that.

You can't just go around calling things attention whoring just because it grabs people's attention.

Why is everyone so easy to jump on this "apologizing is attention whoring" bandwagon?

generalization based on past experiences, probably
when you consider most of the people who have previously made apology topics tend to just be full of stuff, it becomes a stereotype
