Author Topic: Why are "Blockland is Dead" threads bannable?  (Read 2097 times)

tbh im not saying the game is dead but its had a very noticeable decrease in popularity in the past 5 years
when i was first playing there was about 300-400 players on all night/day
after the shaders update it kinda got sliced in half

No the highest count Blockland has had in years was the steam release.

No the highest count Blockland has had in years was the steam release.
i never said anything about highest count, i simply stated that in july of 2011, when i started playing, there was atleast 300 players online night and day.
the game was in good standing until around the shaders update, then after the shaders update some people started to leave

300 people may have been "playing" but they weren't really "playing."

The average person was just jumping and jetting around a map instead of actually doing anything constructive. Blockland just became a 3D chat room and now that people are forced to build they just moved to Second Life or other stuff like that,

Even runescape is considered a 3D chat room. When I use to play that stuff I saw the same people standing in the same spot chatting with the same people every single day. it was crazy.

Most of these people still have their keys. They can come back to Blockland at any time they want.

I thought we all agreed like 10 years ago that blockland will die July 12th, 2018.

the bill nye tho one was satire lol

There really just asking of the game is dead and saying their opinion on it. I still don't see why it should be bannable.
Its like saying you can't say anything negative about the game or else you will be banned.
Because there are so many better ways to ask that question than a topic titled "Blockland is dead???".

"What's the average playercount?"
"How many servers are there?"
"How often do you guys play?"
"When is the game at its busiest?"

Any and all of these are less inflammatory, innocent and non-loaded questions, that will bring you the same information, without slandering the game.

If people are whining about how the game isn't fun anymore and/or that they're gonna stop playing, they don't have any business to be on the forums.
