I guess Mr. Badspot figures since Blockland is dead to them, the poster is dead to Badspot.

If this is true, that's a sad way to deal with negativity.

I'm pretty sure it's insulting to most developers.

Speaking of which, is everyone okay?
I heard you guys all died today.

life and death are only an illusion and nothing is real

I'm willing to bet if someone makes an intelligible article with valid, well researched statistics and brown townytic, they wouldn't be banned. Problem is, such a thing does not exist, because Blockland isn't loving dying.

The unwritten rule exists for a similar reason the admittance to trolling unwritten rule exists. It's designed to weed out a certain type of poster, not a certain type of post.

Maybe, if you were to come in with some valid statistics and summarise the trend in Blocklands popularity over time, and discuss what correlations there may be, or what regular trends we see.

But if you were to label the topic "Blockland is Dead/Dying" you'd be banned, even if it was the most formally and neutrally written topic ever made.
It's just downright rude to proclaim that a game is dead/dying when it still has a sizable number of active users (several hundred is plenty active for a 10 year old small indie game).

If Blockland had more people "playing" there would be 5,000 servers open and only 1,000 people playing.

How many dedicated servers with 0 people playing in them do we need?

He doesnt need evidence really, if he thinks the game is getting slow then he'll make a post about it.
It's not about evidence.
If he's a newcomer, then he has to prior frame of reference to compare to to make the conclusion that it's "getting slow"

So if you make a false claim then you deserve to be perma banned?

BILL NYE THO is not a newcomer.

If you were to make a slanderous claim, which it is, then you should be perma-banned.

Blockland is part of Badspots livelihood, and you're straight up trying to turn people away from it, by proclaiming it to be dead, and therefore not worth their time.
Who wants to hang around a dead online game?

There really just asking of the game is dead and saying their opinion on it. I still don't see why it should be bannable.
Its like saying you can't say anything negative about the game or else you will be banned.

tbh im not saying the game is dead but its had a very noticeable decrease in popularity in the past 5 years
when i was first playing there was about 300-400 players on all night/day
after the shaders update it kinda got sliced in half
