-Are there any Clans that actually teach/practice battle tactics?-

• dodge everything
• move erractically to dodge better
• against enemies who can neuter your dodging (ie: rocket launchers, splash damage in general) attempt to get above them to make splash damage less effective
• if necessary cross-up (physically jump over them) in order to throw off their aim
• if you're not certain you can hit them, try to spook them into moving one way or the other or knock them around so their aim falls apart

your goal is to make it so that your enemy can literally not get a lock on you, and the further they have to turn in order to look at you again the better off you are

This is why I have 'turn left' bound to a key, so I can just hold it down and spin while firing.
Nothing intimidates your enemy more than closing your eyes and just holding down the trigger.

Lol, I've forgotten how many times I did that when I ran Boss Fights, and just walked up to random noobs, tanking as boss.

Sometimes on DMs where you spawn with multiple weapons, I usually have a weaker weapon out and then pull out an OP one when I'm closer

In close combat in a 1v1 situation, do not rapidly jump. You give anyone worth fighting an easy hit.
