Author Topic: -Are there any Clans that actually teach/practice battle tactics?-  (Read 1474 times)

/Title.

Although one can already tell that the Clan Discussion thread is filled with RP clans, is there any particular group that focuses particularly on the combat aspect of BL?

If i remember right there was one gladiator clan but i think its not active anymore

Anyway, for battle tactics in Blockland, there isn't much to them if the server just uses no-jet player.

Well most should, considering they arent building or anything else.

only two I can think of are Angel and Prodigy and they're both dead

what battle tactics are there?

except for grapple knifing

What I mean by battle tactics is a group cycling through different weapons, tools, vehicles, playertypes, etc, and training everyone in each use, knowing their tools strengths and weaknesses and adapting to any battle changes, and sometimes killing with weapons they don't normally use. This would force members to adapt to different conditions depending on what server they join, and regardless of the tools given, they can be unstoppable if trained correctly.

Grapple Knife Training could be considered a great example, since it utilizes the inertia of the Hook-Gun and The Butterfly Knife.

And if there aren't any active military clans in the Clan Discussion, this brings me to my second question.

Would anyone join a group that trains how I stated above?

Honestly speaking... Yes.

Well, then, where are the application forms?

Already on it.  ;)

Feels like a pain in the ass, since most servers make their own add-ones or use private ones or other stuff.
There's a lot of custom content and it would be almost impossible to cover it all. It would also be pretty much pointless.

It doesn't need extensive training to learn the reliability of one gun over another, it's perks, etc. just takes like 10 kills and 5 deaths and then you pretty much understand the weapons tradeoffs

Again. All depends on perspectives.

UGN used to but unless you have a time machine that lets you travel back 6 years, your outta luck m8

What's that supposed to mean.

i need to type up a guide

• dodge everything
• move erractically to dodge better
• against enemies who can neuter your dodging (ie: rocket launchers, splash damage in general) attempt to get above them to make splash damage less effective
• if necessary cross-up (physically jump over them) in order to throw off their aim
• if you're not certain you can hit them, try to spook them into moving one way or the other or knock them around so their aim falls apart

your goal is to make it so that your enemy can literally not get a lock on you, and the further they have to turn in order to look at you again the better off you are

more tips:

• straight up do not fire at enemies who you think are too far away to hit reliably because if you miss (or, worse, don't kill them in one hit anyway) you'll alert them to your position and they'll get the chance to reposition
• if you do have to attack from long range attack from REALLY long range, because weapons usually have a maximum sound range and attacking from outside that range will make it hard for them to notice
• in large encounters with multiple combatants, always attack people who are ganging up on other people. this isn't a matter of nobility as much as it is that large battles are very noisy and people who are actively attacking are less likely to notice when they get attacked until they've already been hit
