Author Topic: I made an elevator!  (Read 3035 times)

You're going to have to make a 1:1 elevator, there is like no other way really.

If your elevator is only 4x4 only 1 person can fit in it anyways.

Besides multiple people elevators have been known to start glitching out due to players breaking the events by constant event spam.
Event spam how? It's just a few teleportation events on delay.

Multiple people pressing buttons. Too much stuff for the system to handle or 1 person pressing too many buttons.

You need a stuff ton of anti-spam click events in place.

Anti spam click events are literally just toggling the ray casting twice.
The only way I can see that happening is if you had like 50 floors and people pressing the buttons all at once

I just disable all raycasting on all buttons while a player is using the elevator.

why does it feel like ive seen that before

It was back when everyone actually used vehicle events, not so much now.

no I mean like "why does it feel like I saw when you built that"

Using so many bricks makes is slow, you are better off taking the stairs.
I agree teleports are a bit unrealistic and in my opinion too easy.
The way I used to make elevators is by letting the players fall or jump up to the next floor until they reached the floor they wanted in rapid succession. Just not fast enough to get hurt by fall damage.
