how did hungary even expand
hungary is surrounded by far stronger nations in 1444
They took a stuffton of land in the Balkans from the Ottomans and Austria never got Burgundian land so they were very weak. I was also allies with Hungary for a long time until they (and France) backstabbed me.
Plus Poland and Lithuania never PU'd. So I guess it was just a lot of luck with how alliances played out
