Author Topic: 'Fellow Humans' - Another Valve/Steam ARG?  (Read 1779 times)

I'm posting this here because I don't think it fits in elsewhere.
Steam am are having a sale.
the humans are dead
The TVface occasionally flashes to random pictures of explosions and other things I can't make out. I translated the red binary via this site and apparently, it comes out to
H"HELP

Valve ARG Confirm???

Edit: I took a crack at the only full binary string in the background (what's under "HUMANS" and the black banner). It's another ".

its just a robot-themed sale

Did you just ignore everything I said about the binary?

it says "help" because it's a sale about robot horror

the binary in the middle is just an enlarged version of the bottom four bytes that say help. if you add a 1 to the end it says HE

I don't think the sale focuses on robot horror, they're selling Mighty Number 9 and the War For Cybertron series, neither are horror.

idk man mighty no.9 is pretty haunting

it's called "fellow humans" as though it's robots pretending to be humans and has a spooky header image

they might be including regular robot games for variety but that's the theme

valve args have a very distinct flavor to them, most notably something to actually decode besides simple binary

My badge special interest is craving. Where's my second ARG badge at Valve?

Most likely not an arg. The binary in the back is gibberish nonsense, and the text on the bottom just says "HELP"

robots are fake anyways

it's literally just a sale for games featuring robots.

there isn't even any binary here
