Author Topic: Vista cannot deal with someone who wants no security  (Read 1542 times)

It won't let me get rid of avast because it thinks "DATA" is an important file and that I'm an idiot that will break my OS.

Tl;dr: Vista sucks

Anyway, that's what happens if you try :I At least to me too.

Why would you want to get rid of avast?
What madness is this?

avast is great, it pops up and spazs out every time it detects a virus

Yeah exactly, which so happens to be very often for some people GEE I WONDER WHY

Are you uninstalling the program properly...or just trying to delete the folder yourself? If the latter, try the former.

You can also disable UAC through the control panel. (I'd turn it back on afterward though)

I don't want it running all the time though. And the only reason I got it was because something was wrong with me keyboard and I thought it was a virus. Also, the voice is scaring me.
