hello,i need some advice. i have the game mariokart DS. in my school,we have game day today.me and a couple of people (8 to be exact)have mariokart races,in teams.
my team always wins. and for the non-team ones i always whoop everybody. but after that,i never played mariokart in between last year and this year. so i need some help on how to win. i am training so i can beat everyone just like last year. i need some tips. i already remember to start reving up on two of the countdown to get a boost. that can help. i really need some EXP points. do not post if you do not own mariokart DS.

I'd beat you senseless using Standard Only Karts (The Rule my group uses to promote fair play and ONLY one of each standard can be used per each gameroom).

Anyways, best way to win is to learn how to "Cut Down" your Time. You can try racing me if you like as I've been practicing by myself to cut down times for every map without Snaking/PRB+Snaking (PRB=Start Boost, Snaking helps keep the boost if done consistently).

To shave time, you have to practice using the "Fastest Lanes/Lines" in each map (requires lots of trial and error) and a Kart that suits your style.

I prefer using ROB's Standard for general use (I was too good, so I used this to stop snaking and got pure speed) and Yoshi's Standard for Curvy Maps or when someone else is good.

Lastly, you need to play every map over and over again, regardless if you love or hate it, in order to get the best of each.

Anyways, hopefully you can beat my non-snake time on Rainbow Road - 2:10:388 (Mario+Rob Standard)

i do not know if you can beat me. i will let you know if i beat your time, and i will practice every day. and i prefer warios secondary kart. it has good top speed. i also like the dea of practicing every map,so then i can be prepared.

Or for total change of pace, play MIRROR mode only with friends. Ruins most of the competition.

My favorite DS game, I kicked ass at it :D
