I've been emotionally stressed recently as well. What I try to do is find recreational things to do, like listening to my iDoser, hanging out with people I can get along with, listening to relaxing music, and over all just taking brakes from my regular lifestyle. I also try finding a person to talk to, preferably one that is understanding. This could be anyone for you: a close friend, a therapist, some random hobo on the street, or another person that has the same feelings as you. I prefer close friends over the other options, but the point is to reach the "source" of of your stress and "spit it out."
