Russia was the first to put a person into space, The US was the first to bring one back.

 Those are honoring words, and will put a chill down anyone's spine, but not exactly true.

Yuri Gagarin did return safely from his venture into space, though he later died in an accident in a supersonic aircraft.

Of course the first dead human in space is Russian.

The russians were performing tests, and there were some people who died in space.

 Air pressure loss, oxygen leaked into space, the three men suffocated.

When I clicked on this I thought it said "The Lost Croissant."

Either way I like the art.

There should be a movie about these guy's brave expeditions into space, there story makes me sad. :(

 More Russian Cosmonauts died than this. The Lost Cosmonaut was kept a secret when the Iron curtain was hiding the Soviet Union from exposure.

This story is chilling and yet inspiring.
