Description

The ability to transform into a Paladin is granted to the player after the completion of the Generation 2 scenario. The Passive Defense skills are awarded upon completing the quest: The Book of Paladin.

If a player wishes to skip the Generation 1 scenario to immediately start the Generation 2 scenario, he or she can talk to Weird Cat inside Duncan's house in Tir Chonaill. Skipping G1 only gives you a brief glimpse at all the content that you've missed, via a short cutscene after you talk to the Weird Cat. You will not receive the "who Saved the Goddess" title or the Goddess enchant if you decide to skip G1.
Details

    * The Paladin transformation time varies with age and number of rebirths. It lasts approximately 2.5 hours of in-game time to begin with, and can be only used once per "day". The transformation counter resets at 6:00 A.M.
o The Higher Age decreases the time (-2 seconds per year). More rebirths increases the time (+7 seconds per rebirth).
o Does not decrease after Age 25.
    * Paladin status bonuses are added on top of the player's base stats. Titles equipped prior to transformation will not take effect while transformed.
    * It is not possible to gain any of the accomplishment titles that involve stats while transformed (e.g. The Strong - 200+ Str, The Skillful - 200+ Dex).
    * The player can cancel the transformation at any time by using the Spirit of Order skill.
    * Transforming effectively restores some of your HP, Mana, Stamina, Hunger, and Wounds.
o Your current value for each is added to whatever is added to the max, causing 100/200 to become 400/500 (+300). When de-transforming, you retain your ratio instead (400/500 becomes 160/200 for a total gain of 60 before and after using the skill).
    * Transformation will be canceled upon death; the player will have to wait until the timer resets to use the skill again.
    * It is possible to transform while a skill is active, but not when it's loading.
    * It is impossible to un-train Paladin-based skills, even with skill reset capsules.
    * Players transformed into Paladins are not allowed to enter Black Orb, Pendant of the Goddess, Mythril Mine, and most Generation 1 dungeons. Furthermore, they will not be allowed to transform while inside those dungeons.
o On the other hand, transformed players cannot enter the Wizard's Note dungeon, but may transform while inside.
    * Take note that their Resting position is altered while holding any 2-handed weapons.
    * Paladin Passive Defense skills can be obtained through a quest given to you by Price after obtaining the Spirit of Order skill. Give the owl a few minutes to come.
    * If you happen to be transformed into a Paladin when you rank Spirit of Order through a form change threshold (e.g., Rank 6 to Rank 5), your form will actually change while you are transformed. The transform timer will not reset however

Ranking Skills

For ranking Paladin skills, you must use points gained from leveling. Each level gives the player 10 points, which can either be kept in Spirit of Order for advancement, or distributed to any of the other skills. At rank F, each skill requires 100 points (10 levels) to rank. At rank E, they require 110, and so on.

    * Note: When distributing points to skills, they are taken away from Spirit of Order, and cannot be taken back from the skill they are sent to.

Passive Defense Quest

Shortly after completing Generation 2, Price will send you a request by owl to come see him. Go find him and he’ll give you a book called "Book of Paladin" and a keyword of the same name. You will need to collect the missing pages of the Book of Paladin to unlock the true power of a Paladin. Since you finished Generation 2, the book will already contain pages (chapters) 1 and 2, and you’ll only need to get the other five pages. Use the keyword “Book of Paladin” and talk to the NPCs below to get the mini-quests for acquiring the pages.

    * Note:
o You don’t have to get the pages in order; just start with whichever page is closest to your current location, or easiest for you to complete.
o The pages are not tradeable. You may, however, still receive help from friends, item-wise (e.g. Rainbow Trout, T-Bone Steaks).
o If you completed G2 pages 1 and 2 will be in your book. It will not be shown that you have collected them however the percentage will go up higher for each page you find.
o Talking to Price with the “Book of Paladin” keyword will have him ask if you want to give up on the quest. You DO NOT want to give up this quest so say no!
+ If you talk to him again with they Keyword, you'll accept the quest again(?).
    * Page 1- Talk to Eavan in Dunbarton with the keyword “Book of Paladin”. She’ll ask you to collect five Skeleton Wolf Fomor scrolls. After you get them, return to her to receive the first page.
    * Page 2- Talk to Craig with the keyword “Book of Paladin”. He’ll give you a special Barri Dungeon pass. Finish the dungeon and get the special Magic Powder from the reward chest. The boss room contains a few Werewolves. Take the powder to Craig and he’ll give you a broken page 2. He tells you to talk to Stewart in Dunbarton to fix it.
    * Page 3- Go to Emain Macha and talk to Del and Delen with the keyword “Book of Paladin”. They’ll remark that the Beggar has the page. Obtain three (4-star or higher) T-Bone Steaks. You can make them via Cooking or buy them from Gordon (each one is 3,700 gold, and make sure he's selling 5-star, because sometimes he'll sell 4-star food instead). Once you have all three, “gift” them to the Beggar by dragging them from your inventory and clicking on him, and he’ll automatically give you the third page.
    * Page 4- Talk to Stewart in Dunbarton with the keyword “Book of Paladin.” He’ll tell you he saw a page from the book somewhere in the library, and that you can have the page if you find it. The page is randomly located on one of the library's shelves, so keep checking all of the shelves until you find it. It may be necessary to search every bookshelf several times.
    * Page 5- Talk to Comgan in Bangor with the keyword “Book of Paladin”. He’ll give you a quest to kill 5 Imps. Kill 5 Imps, return to Comgan, complete the quest, and you will get the fifth page (the fastest way is to pay 5k and do Barri Spirit Dungeon, though for a slightly slower but easier method, one Imp spawns just North of Dunbarton and can be killed 5 times for the quest. They do spawn on the path to Bangor but it is extremely rare to spot one).
    * Page 6- Talk to Shena in Emain Macha with the keyword “Book of Paladin”. She’ll give you a quest asking you to obtain three Rainbow Trout that are 110 cm or longer. Once you have all three, “gift” them to her by dragging them from your inventory and clicking on her. Complete the quest on the scroll she gave you for the sixth page.
    * Page 7- Talk to Galvin in Emain Macha with the keyword “Book of Paladin”. He’ll direct you to Emain Macha's healer, Agnes. Talk to her with the keyword “Book of Paladin” and she’ll give you a quest asking you to gather 10 Bundle of Flower. Get a Weeding Hoe and go to north-east Emain Macha; you’ll see a place full of flowers (indicated by very small round patches on the map). After collecting 10 of them, return to Agnes, then complete the quest on the scroll and you’ll receive the seventh page.
    * Pick up the pages you receive and "drop" them into the book. After putting in all of the pages, open the book and click the reward button. You’ll get a blue Coill Dungeon pass, solo pass. Use it at Coill Dungeon to enter the Coill Awaken dungeon, where your final test begins; Overcoming your "Fears". This dungeon is one floor, about 30 rooms, and will contain the same monsters as a normal Coill dungeon. The boss is a Nightmare Humanoid (hence what you were asked to do). If you fail to finish this dungeon, just find Price, and he will give you another pass.
    * When you finish the dungeon you will learn the skills Paladin Heavy Stander, Paladin Natural Shield, and Paladin Mana Deflector. Every time you transform into a Paladin, one or more of these skills will activate at random. Mana Deflector makes incoming magic attacks more sustainable and less damaging. Paladin Natural Shield lowers the amount of time stunned and damage taken from ranged attacks. Paladin Heavy Stander makes melee attacks "useless" and more bearable causing less damage, also ending your attacker's combo. Depending on the rank, these skills will alter the damage done to yourself while transformed as a Paladin.

Note: Heavy Stander does not block melee attacks 100% of the time, however it does always lower damage. Mana Deflector and Natural Shield always reduce their damage types. Ranking Paladin passive defences, as well as Spirit of Order increases their chance of activating. It might be even possible to have them activate at 100% of the time with all of them at Rank 1.

Appearance

    * Color-specific areas on the Paladin are determined by the color of robe the player is wearing. Otherwise, the color is that of your name. Sometimes, if the player is not wearing a robe, the color-specific areas will be that of the player's clothing color.
    * The appearance changes based on the rank of Spirit of Order.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Pretty cool game, there was a point where I played it fairly additively. Haven't gone back in a year probably.

I played every day for the summer.  I've slowed down for a bit, now that everyone I know has stopped going on.

Used to play but, it got kinda boring and I couldn't play frequently. If I get high-speed at my house I might get back on.

So I gave a guildy about 360 iron ingots and he worked for a few hours to make me about 120 bundles of finest boltheads.
Then i found out you can buy them from npc now :cookieMonster:

So basically my entire day was cut about 400 firewood, handicraft it with the boltheads into bolts, go to class, come back and cut about 200 more and make bolts. Then made around 100 costume kits, with a quick G3 final in the middle. Then realize for the next rank of handicraft I'll need to make 99 more finest bolt sets, which will cost me 545k, and decided to do it later.

Need more people on Mari, its getting quiet >:
