Author Topic: Virus forgeted my system up - having to re-do entire system  (Read 2005 times)

I tried Norton, Avast, anything i could find but they all suck. I'm using XP

Im on a laptop, So i have to rely on loving SD cards to hold my stuff.

Malwarebytes, Kaspersky, and Spyware Search & Destroy. In my 7 years of being on the internet, that combination has never failed me yet. You should try it.

I used to have to re-install my OS every 2-3 months.

Uninstall Think point. Some Rogues remove the viruses on uninstall.

I just had the flu, so I am feeling the after-effects too.

That sucks.
One of my siblings forgeted up our home computer.
I did a scan:
362 infeccted files

A virus like that hit our old computer, not the one I use. My mom was browsing around (not research you pervs) and suddenly a dark golden shield appeared on the toolbar with black stripes. A window popped up saying she had to download a crappy antivirus or else she couldn't use it again. After a few phone calls, dealing with Dell's customer support, and about 18 hours of trying to get the damned thing out, she had to finally tear the OS down and rebuild it from the ground up. It also runs the modem, so we had to get THAT going again.

I loving hate Microsoft. And Dell. And the cigarettes who makes the viruses.

How do you do your Computer and it's System at the same time? sounds hard :o
