Author Topic: How Science Saved my Soul - I Almost Cried  (Read 6789 times)

He's so right. I myself am a Christian and I hate the 50-70 percent of my religion who say that science and God should not coexist. You are denying the beauty that (in my belief) God created. I do not believe that a religion should be stuck with certain ideals, for instance, I'm pro-choice. A pro-choice Christian? Not so impossible as you may think. Their closed-mindedness and inability to interpret the words that they so blindly follow is bring my amazing religion to be insulted by the community in general. The vastness and amazingness of the universe that he speaks about in the video spoke directly to me. I have those experiences, I do not call them religions, I call them admiring the awesome (I don't mean that in the way that every teenager uses it today, I mean it in the way of mind-blowing) power of nature and what is laid out before us. I believe in God, I do not believe in my fellow followers.

This was so mind-blowing that I HAD to bump this to show how I feel.

This frightened me greatly.
Like I'm in utter shock.

Yes, simple summaries for me to read about this video.  I don't think of religion as they said in the video.  They really do make it sound as if religion is a monster.  They make it out as so because they are generalizing Christians as the ones that are blindly following it.

I thought it was great.
However I can't really see how people bring religion into the picture.
Atleast, it didn't change my views, I'm still nihilist.
