To the 90% of you who din;t read the article: The new rule has nothing to directly do with monitoring your internet use. The new rule will have loopholes that allow ISPs to block or limit access to certain websites. For example, your ISP could make a "Basic" plan that only allows you use a few news sites, shopping sites, and Email. Then they could change you more money to get to any site you want.

I didn't realize that wasn't already legal, I just thought it was stupid so no ISP would ever put it into action.

I think right now there is no FCC rule about it, so that's why they are voting on one.

So there is no rule about enforcing net neutrality.
The FCC is making one.
But it's not perfect so people are complaining?
