Author Topic: A paradox.  (Read 3522 times)

too bad there's no such thing as an unstoppable force of immovable object

Okay, about the first question,

I know it does not exist.
This is only theoretically, I am not saying it could happen.

The answer is it is completeley impossible. If there was an immoveable object, there would be no such thing as an unstoppable  force, and vice versa.

Also, yet again, this is not theoretical. I am not saying something does or does not exist. All I was doing was presenting the forum with some fun ideas/paradoxes. I did not mean to offend anyone or their beliefs.

Dang you autocorrect

Simon says: "John always overexaggorates."
John says: "Simon always underexaggorates."

Simon is underexaggorating in this conversation.

John is overexaggorating in this conversation.

I think that's a paradox, kinda?

I guess, but not that confusing. Thanks for the contribution though. I think I migt change this to a paradox submission thread.

an unstoppable force and an immovable object cannot exist in the same universe

I get it, it's just not a paradox.

The statement "Everything I say is a lie" can't be true, because it would contradict itself, so it has to be not true. "Everything I say is not a lie" is not the same thing as "Everything I say is the truth". It's not self-contradicting. The validity of everything you say can not be determined from the one statement.
It is a paradox, timeline of paradoxial action
Everything I say is a lie, so thats a lie, meaning everything you say is the truth, so if you say everything you say is a lie then youre telling the truth, but if thats true then youre lying, meaning once again that everything you say is the truth meaning everything you say is a lie, meaning if everything you say is a lie and youre lying, then youre saying everything you say is true, once again leading back to everything you say is a lie, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat numerous repetitive repeats, and so on and so forth.

Have I made a point?

If an unstoppable force hits an immoveable object, what would happen?

If god knows the future, how does free will exist?

PS the second question is not meant to insult he catholic religion.
Why not?

Why not?
