How do I put non-steam games into the task bar thing?

How do I pin a non-steam shortcut onto the thing down here vvvv?
It won't let me pin it. :C Oh, and I have Windows Seven.

There should be a "Pin this program to taskbar" option if you right click.
EDIT: Oh, and the program has to be running.

Any Steam menu > Games (Top left corner) > Add non-Steam game.
