I'm still waiting for my Ati Radeon to show up at my doorstep so I can enjoy GTAIV at a decent FPS.

Even GTA is full of an open world where anything can happen.

Also, I hate games who's sole purpose is to be hard and frustrating. If games are meant to be fun, the why the hell are you making them frustrating?
Super Meat Boy is a great example, the only reason I play a single level for 40 minutes in one game session is because it actually poses a challenge. I like the challenge because, for me, little other games pose any. Then again, this is all a matter of opinion.

Because you can build AND survive.

And besides, do you scream at your game if you fall into lava? I just laugh hysterically.
i just say, ooh, more lava (lighting is useful)

FPS games aren't like that. Otherwise every body would be at the same level of gameplay and they wouldn't be at the top of the gaming industry. I don't get what you are trying to say, but I think you mean that you are tired that the way you play games (pressing buttons, keys, moving brown townog sticks) are boring.
