With rampaging vehicles if you check the box- damage vehicles , in prefs than it damages vehicles whenever you ram into bricks

Isn't there an Events Addon called Vehicle Touch? If there is, make some Bricks, Event it. Ideas:
OnVehicleTouch-> Self-> Spawn Explosion-> etc.
OnVehicleTouch-> Player-> Kill

Onvehicletouch is broken/failed last I remember. Although I'm sure somebody has a working one. But rampaging vehicles should work perfect anyhow.

Why don't you just use rampaging vehicles?

Use rampaging vehicles. It has an option to damage the vehicle on impact (with bricks AND terrain), and also to damage the driver on crash/impact.
