Author Topic: Animated treads.  (Read 1866 times)

This isn't necessarily a suggestion or request, but I was just curious as to if it is possible to make a vehicle with animated treads. I haven't seen any, so my assumption is that they wouldn't work, but has anyone ever tried?

It really depends on your definition of the word "animated" means, if you want a definite answer.

I guess they could work, but it would be extremely complicated to get everything working together.

It's possible, but it'll be a pain in the ass for the modeler.

Moving

Derp.

Would be nice. But what about when you turn on the spot?
One track would go forward and the other back...
Would that make it complicated? Besides,
This is hardly Something we have to
Have. It would just be nice
to have it.

Would require model animation and would have to be triggered in the script.

But should be possible.

Would require model animation and would have to be triggered in the script.
That goes without saying for every single animation in Blockland.

He wasn't asking if it's possible, he knows it's possible.

He just wants it to be made.

uh

Like I said, it would be a pain in the ass for the guy modeling each individual tread, unless there was some python script or plugin that fixes that.
