Here's an idea: Brick Request Megathread.
Anyone who would be willing to maintain it, please go ahead and create it. Just find all sorts of suggestions and post them, and post what people suggest in comments.

The brick collisions and physical appearance aren't that hard to make. The UV mapping is a bitch.
