Boxing is very good exercise, but you need to make sure you have a good punch first otherwise you will damage your knuckles and all that stuff.Tearing the tendons between your fingers really isn't as fun as it sounds.
As said just do pushups. As many as you can, every second night. They are great to get started with.On the inbetween days either work another set of muscles or do some cardio.
Pushups for your triceps, chin ups for your biceps, scoop ice cream for your forearms :~)
