I had a bow once. It was made of fiberglass. Then one day it suddenly started splintering and I spent like a week pulling fiberglass splinters from my hand. So we wrapped it in tape. I was pretty good at shooting soda cans though.

I have an old recurve bow lying around somewhere. It hasn't been strung in a while but I'm sure it works just as good as it did 10 years ago.
