I got a bow :D

So I went out to the sporting goods store near me to find a bow, and I got one and I love it to bits. I can't use it right now, it's safe at my dads house, but shooting it is a blast.

This may just sound like I'm bragging, but the very first time I shot it, it was in the backyard, which is closed off by a wooden fence with slight cracks in between them. When I shot the arrow, it literally went inside the crack and into the gravel pit we live right next to.

Discuss archery.

I've just owned many bows in my life.
When it comes to sporting goods here is everything I've owned/have:

-5 or 4 bows (all gone)
-Gun Rack (gone)
-Blow gun (Still have it but needs darts)
-Cross bow (stolen)
-4 bb guns
-3 or 4 airsoft guns
-A ton of pocket knifes

Why exactly would you need all of these besides for the purpose of having a bunch of weapons.

What bothers me is some people (lamebro, plad) at 12 years of age have loving pistols. I wouldn't be even allowed near a tiny BB gun yet they get a real gun?

When you live in a wooded area you always want weapons.
Foxes, coyotes, and all those other wildlife animals are everywhere.
I wouldn't leave the house without a hatchet personally because of the large number of coyotes.

Exactly, anybody under the age of 18, maybe higher, should not be allowed near firearms.

But if they shoot themselves in the foot it isn't our problem.

Even in the city I was in you would see deer everywhere.

You just never know what you'll need when you need it.
