they don't here. i wouldn't really call where i live a town. anywhere you go within like a 50 mile radius of here is all pretty much evenly populated with neighborhoods and schools and stuff.

Volunteer fire department has a siren that sounds like a missile warning. It plays for a short duration at noon.

but in my town the only way you can tell it's noon is the traffic
