god DAMNIT

i should've had Flying Festival be Cloud Carnival

with the carnival sitting on the clouds and the rollercoasters like hanging from the underside of the clouds and ferris wheels too

i think i'm also going to add a part 3 to Gear Gauntlet (which i'm actually going to name Malignant Machina from now on because it sounds better)

oops i triple posted but oh well
this kinda needs a bump anyways

also i'm going to put out my old idea for a health system but massively revised

so the player has two meters; a speed meter and a health meter. the way the system works is to reward speed (instead of punishing it like the old version).
let's say the speed and health meter both have 30 units. now, say i have 14 units on the speed meter; then, i get hit by an enemy projectile.
i would then lose 16 health points.
the way it works is that the number of speed points that's subtracted from the meter is the damage dealt.
30-14=16
thus, the faster you go, the less damage you will take. of course, this needs rubberbanding - at 30 speedwhatevers you'll take 1 damage just so you don't become invincible at full speed.
another rubberbanding part of the system is knockback. when you get hit by something, you will be slowed down a certain amount depending on your health and speed. every other empty health point subtracts 1 knockback force, and each speed point adds 1 knockback force.
eg. if im going 25 spd with 10 hp, then get hit, i'll be sent back with 15 knockback force.

i feel like i might be missing a few rubberbands, so correct me on anything.

What program/language did you make this with?
