Author Topic: The Doctor Who Discussion Thread - Peter Capaldi is the New Doctor  (Read 5236 times)

That's funny, because the original Doctor Who series which started in 1963 started with the first three doctors being old.
yeah, i don't think they quite realize that though

They should totally make an actual relation between the role Peter played in 'The fires of Pompei' and him being the doctor.

So is the second half of the season over now? I'm usually about a season behind because when a season ends Amazon makes them free to watch.

The last season started in September 2012 and ended around Easter 2013.

The new season starts in the next 2 months I think.

They didn't for Amelia Pond, so I don't think they will for the Doctor. Also Colin Baker (6th Doctor) was in a previous episode of Who before he got the role of the Doctor.

Only two episodes the rest of this year and the next series will probably start in the second half of next year sadly.

I would really like it to be that Peter Capaldi's character in 'The Fires of Pompei' was The Doctor, again using the Chameleon Arch to hide.

Wow! New doctor. This will be fun. I really liked the oldies.

This needs a bump.

What do you guys watch doctor who on / what will you watch the 50th on? I don't have cable so I don't know what to do :/

It probably won't be on netflix for a while after the first air.

Also I'm in America :/

I assume you can just watch it after it shows on BBC iPlayer.

I watch it on BBC One whenever it airs normally.

That's a complete shame.

They really really need to stop loving with the schedule for the show.
It's ridiculous.

Why change it if you're not even going to stick to what you changed it to?

Meh.
Well, is it free? Also, can I have a link to this "Iplayer"? I'm used to watching everything on netflix

iPlayer is free, and top shows like Doctor Who are usually on iPlayer the moment it stops showing on TV.
Which means you'd be watching it 1 hour after it first airs minimum.

But, iPlayer doesn't have a big library.
Things get taken off of it usually 1 to 2 weeks after they're put on.
So you have to use it as if you're watching Live TV.

You won't be able to view a backlog of things on it.
