"Apple needs to do something"
No they don't. It's not their fault that the people in your class aren't responsible or smart enough to handle their phone. And I know accidents happen, but it's still not Apple's fault.

Maybe a bunch of irresponsible 13 year old kids shouldn't have iPhones? Just a thought.
I've had every generation iPhone since the 3rd one and never once cracked the screen. I've also had every generation iPad since the 1st one and never once cracked the screen. Not sure how people can be so clumsy.

I've had my iPod touch for nearly a year and a half, and the worst it's taken is scratches on the back. The solution? Just don't drop your phone...

Then again, this is coming from someone who just dropped and broke a glass the other day...

Don't drop it and don't treat it like a piece of stuff too.
I was hanging out at the mall with a friend today and she dropped her brand new iPhone on the floor while we were eating. What does she do next? Puts her foot on it and drags it across the floor face down to get it within arm's reach.

Yep. While it may no longer be my main choice for an MP3 player/media device, it's still worth quite a bit. I'd be rather bored without it...

Exactly, I treat my iPad like it's something I worship. Teenagers are so spoiled by their parents.

My parents never buy me anything (ok, my mom did get me Office 2010, saying it was for school) unless it's for Christmas or my birthday. Ok, or cloths. I bought my computer, I bought my bike, I bought my airsoft gun...

do you ever even ask?

My dad went to the CPR Brentwood place, cost him 165$. He got a bunch of discounts off a case and the repair. He's happy his phone is better, no other help is needed. Locking.
