you realize that going to parties is like optional right?  if you don't want to party you don't have to party.  not to mention people that party still do their work anyway (mostly).

I know a lot of people who go to those resort campuses and end up dropping out because they partied to much instead of studying.

You could argue that these "resort" campuses actually benefit society, giving college degrees to people who really earn them rather than those that go to college for the sake of going to college.
