Author Topic: Ubisoft misrepresented the graphical prowess of AC: Unity, surprising nobody.  (Read 1662 times)

the teaser pictures look a bit cooler because they present an actually realistic lighting of the city, and not the same global-lighting bullstuff that either makes games look like light paradise where the sun goes on vacation, or eternal winter where there's no direct light source to begin with

but then they went with the first option anyway

Except they didn't.

the difference between 900p and 1080p is apparent the xbone's and ps4's 32mb of vrm, vs the pc's minimum of 2000mb requirements...
3000 recommended for same quality as consoles.

i say boycott ubi. all games

ps4's 32mb of vrm
Playstation 4 doesn't have any Vram at all. It just uses system memory. Which is has 8 gigs of.
Not sure if it's the same for the Xbone though.

ubisoft is slowly becoming the next ea

Blame Ubishaft management, and their poor choice of PC port teams.

The problem is that they're very CPU reliant; nobody seems to ever try to deal with that bottleneck or push work to the GPU.
