Author Topic: stuffty xbox360 controller is broken  (Read 640 times)

so, after 9 months of not playing xbox360, the batteries in one of my controllers corrode, leaving my controller broken. it won't connect to the xbox at all and won't give any sign of life. even when we cleaned out most of the corrosion and changed the batteries, nothing worked. the other controller is also broken, but it didn't even have any batteries in it, so I'm really confused on why it broke too. I've tried a lot of really stuffty fixes like shoving paper in the metal plate in the battery pack, and using tin foil and tissue to make a cheap battery pack solution, but in the end it didnt work and i felt like a handicap in the process. is there any way to fix my xbox controllers without buying new ones?

The real question is why are you using an xbox360 controller

because if you don't look at the d-pad and lifespan then it's one of the best choices

also if an xb360 controller dies it's because of time and never because of getting smashed into a wall

i remember joining my first party on xb360
it was crazy for me and i was dancing and accediently threw my controller at the wall, but it survived?!
