have fun with extraordinarily large bills.

Good, get a Droid Turbo if you join. I have one and its awesome.

get any phone from 2012 for that matter. in my opinion, phones are getting excessively more powerful in specs, when it's unnecessary. all phones are the same, just don't fall for the marketing scheme that you need several new phones in a year.

Not all people do this, but when you develop for a phone it's nice to have the extra torque in the background to play with. Don't go buying an age old phone and be stuck with it once you find out your Cardboard 2000™ can't handle drawing several cubes.

lol are you joking or something? i've had this s3 for 3 years now, and i can play many, many games without problems, browse the web, and text. everything an ordinary phone can do.

I'm not denying that, but the point is there's more reasons to improving phone hardware beyond making it a richard measuring contest.

Have fun with your phone running out of memory force closing apps and lack of updates.
Things come an go and that's the same with phones, there will always be a newer one.

i've never had that problem. i value my family's money, and i don't care how you guys spend yours (or most likely your parents'). have fun being played like a fiddle by marketing.

Have fun being played as a fiddle? You think some people have a choice, some carriers like verizon are very greedy and evil when it comes to updating phones and support.

Look at what their doing, they really hate Windows phones, Lumia Icon - Discontinued after a year, Lumia 730 - Delayed for nearly two years and probably going to be killed off soon, why? Because apparently they just want to sell what is really popular, and if you look on the android side, there are still people on android 4.4 meanwhile everyone is on 5+, why? Because they get more money from selling brand new android phones instead of updating the old ones.

I find T-mobile to be easier with this type of stuff because they actually update their phones, a little late but never as late as verizon or...sprint.
You are right on some things though...
