Author Topic: "New York, Vermont ban official state travel to Mississippi over LGBT law"-link  (Read 6176 times)

This law would only be discriminatory if there was like a state sponsored program or legislation that segregated LGBT from straight.  All this law does is further extend the free market so that the market itself will punish and reward businesses based on how they treat gay people instead of the government coming in and artificially controlling the market, which is the reason we are in the financial crCIA.

Can someone please explain what "official state travel" means and how it affects residents in VT and NY? trying to figure out how dumb their reaction to this new law is
"official state travel" seems to mean any state-funded transportation but i haven't really seen a good explanation

they don't have the power to bar transport to other states but they can probably at least decide not to pay for it. though it might still affect the economy of MS. if that's the case, MS could probably challenge it and win if they can prove that it has a substantial effect on their economy
