Author Topic: Why is Trueno's colorset considered amazing?  (Read 2674 times)

I used to use Trueno's old but moved to Emil's realistic colorset thing

i too used to regularly use truenos until i switched to emils. i made a custom edit of truenos to give it better green variety and add in a dark dark brown, for Althur

i think the appeal of truenos is how robust it is. its not great at anything (anything being a given theme or build), but its not stuff at anything either. its kinda like how mcdonalds is the average standard for fast food: its not good in really any respect but it also does the job of feeding you well enough

What I've been yearning to know is how does one make a colorSet?

I liked that Trueno's included all of the defaults but if I try to use it now my eyes hurt from how bright and bold all the colors are.

The colorset is amazing for Mini Empires. I also dont have a problem with the colorset at all and i absolutely love it. I dunno why people use colorsets with blue colors that are even worse than Mario Paint. Gotta love Desaturated Sky Blue and Way-Too-Dark Blue.

I use my own custom version of Jirue's faded colorset

honestly there's so many useless colors or colors that just need to be tweaked for me to even consider using it seriously

but i make my own colorsets anyways so i dont have to worry about that

you can pretty easily figure out the specifics by looking away a colorset.txt, although it's RGBO for the nums
