they want me to get a "real" hobby like golf or farming or surfing.
call them nerds because those hobbies are not particularily viable i mean come on how are u gonna surf or farm

you're going to hate your past work constantly and that is okay. insecurity is annoying. when you feel like you are accomplished you will be able to look back and laugh and also be embarrassed. or at least hopefully. for now though, at least you're ridiculously self-conscious and know whats good and whats not. which means you improve.

if someone asks the question of what you want to do in life just say what you already said about doing whatever you want because you're a ~free spirit~ but shorten it to like a sentence
it is a perfectly viable answer and if someone disagrees tell them to stop being a nerd

to survive against the constant hassling you have to be deadpan serious-hell business, to be cool, intimidating, unassailable, with the strongest of self control
sort of like some people you can see on the forums!
don't take that assrichard school comments, or when your family brings up your history videos, or when they blame you for your own insecurity
because this is serious business

also scale down the image of your grades its a pagestretch

I've made videos before and I've gotten stuff for before too, last year when I was in 7th grade I showed 2 8th graders my videos and started harassing me for it, this is why I don't show my video to people, but close friends and teachers.

every single day, my inspirations and goals change, i'm just that type of person. some days I'll focus on videos, some I'll focus on drawing, some on music, skateboarding, game development, photography, etc.  I can never get anything done because I'm doing everything.
i do this same stuff. one day i'll want to develop a game, work on it for a day, then lose interest the next day because i want to make videos. pick it up again later, same stuff happens. it's really annoying but i feel like i have a broad skill set because of it.

You're like me in the sense that we're pretty good at twenty different skillsets; at the expense of never being great at any one of them.

I agree with your parents and i also disagree. You shouldn't ever turn your hobby into a job because after a while you stop giving a forget because you're forced to work on whatever it is you want to do for income rather than enjoyment. Also golfing? that's lame. narrow down what you're good at and hone those skills.
