iirc the number determines the minimum class it needs - you can mount lower class equipment to higher class, so yeah there's no way around it. see if you can go without one of your class 3 equipments. you can probably drop the scanner if you dont plan on scanning planets or enemies.

Why the forget can't a type 7 land on a medium pad and a Python can? A Python is bigger in every single dimension except height ffs forget off FDev.

maybe cause like the pad size determines the lower hangar size when retracting, and so tallness is more important than width??
