Yeah, it's really hypocritical. I talked to a couple cops about it and it's a really reasonable issue of cops not being properly trained to handle situations where the suspect is legally armed. To a police officer, where the job becomes routine, when you're suddenly aware the suspect is armed, it's understandably significantly harder to keep a calm and level head. In cases like with Castile, all it takes is a split-second decision to make a grave mistake and end an innocent man's life.
The NRA is in the exact loving spot to bring this issue to light and get some weight on the issue, considering how much credibility they have in the 2a business. But no, radio loving silence. It's maddening.
