Author Topic: I wonder why my schools computers are slow as stuff and the internet is slow  (Read 1260 times)

Public schools have like Mac's from the 90s and usually no internet. Private schools like me have dells that are just weak but have good internet even if its filtered.

And whats even better is that I live in West Virginia, the ass of the Union, and my school computers have Pentium Dual-Core CPUs.

the school i went to had 2.4ghz dual core processors (about 100 computers), never found out the graphics cards though :(

Most schools are cheap when it comes to computers. They usually have like an 800 MHz Celeron processor or some stuff worse.
My school had a bunch of Dell's donated to them, they're pretty good (for school PC's). They had a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 with 1 GB of RAM (running XP). It was able to run Half-Life 2 on low settings (due to the lack of a good GPU, ATi Radeon XPress...ugh)
