Why do I disconnect in the middle of my internet games?

On any game on steam it will usually freeze up and get the disconnect error. This happens in like two minutes on any server. It has been pissing the stuff out of me and i don't know what to do.

try port-forwarding it helped me.

my current router hates port forwarding
ill try though even though there is no guide for it on portforward.com

All games or just a select few?

I only tried tf2 and garry's mod but i assume all games

also this only started happening after setting up a static id :/
