That's why. Vista runs terribly with 1 GB of RAM.
Ah. Will I need to upgrade to 3GB of ram to get the same speed I'm getting on XP with 2GB of ram then?

Go Vista. Fast and not like,
"I have a problem with my computer. I have Vista"
"It's Vista"
Not a lot of problems with Vista.

No...
As I've said three times or so now, 2 GB of RAM will be fine for Vista.

Mac upgrades are cheap.
Because we're totally talking about Macs.

I'm thinking about getting windows 7, because I like XP, but its really outdated and doesnt have the cool stuff that windows 7 has.
I have some questions, so if I buy a copy of windows 7, will it just uninstall windows, and NOT all of my files?
also whats the cheapest i can get 7? :o

Your fault.

Mac upgrades are cheap.
Yes, it's my fault that I blew all my money on a new graphics card for my PC, but how the forget does this have to do with "cheap" mac upgrades? Are you some sort of mac fanboy saying how it's cheaper to upgrade to a new version of mac OS than it is to upgrade to a new version of windows or something?

Windows XP remains my favorite of all three.

Don't for goodness sake go to 7.
Although it will run games faster, you can't make hidden files show up.
I couldn't play my GTA:SA because its hidden along with pron other games :c

I found out a few days after the deadline passed that my laptop was eligible for a free Vista -> 7 upgrade, I'm still pretty pissed.

If I switch to Vista, is there any way to carry over all my files from XP to Vista without having to transfer them to another harddrive?
This is important.

Yes and no.
When you upgrade, Vista has the option to preserve files, which means it keeps your desktop, and stuff, but formats your applications and documents. So that is useless. If you are planning to do this, backup everything important, and, at the very least, the documents.

Ew, that sucks.

But why don't you like it?

Because it's different?
WHY?
For one, it was slow, not just because of my stuffty 128mb graphics and 2 gigs of ddr2 ram,
it was just slow.
Two, i had a glitch that made my internet shut off every 20 minutes, i tried reinstalling vista a couple of times, didn't help, neither did the stuffty support,
Three, stuffty support.
Four, expensive as stuff, and you GET stuff.
Five, It was so powerhungry i couldn't run any games,
Six, it was so "New" That it didn't accept my Radeon 9250 Graphics card drivers, which mean't no Blockland for 6 months :/
Seven, Everytime i started up my computer, it took twelve minutes because it had this weird glitch where it would look like my screen was fading in by fire, and it wasn't a virus.
Eight, it didn't accept my antivirus, they were too old too.
Nine, It forgeted up my Tablet and i couldnt get it fixed, my tablet is still forgeted up, vista tried to "Update" a bunch of settings and destroyed em.
Ten, I couldn't listen to music because WMP took forever to startup, being so powerhungry
Eleven, with a 128mb graphics card and 2 gigs of ddr2 ram, i STILL COULDNT RUN Wmm, which shouldnt require stuff, ITS A BUILT IN PROCESS.
Twelve, It also didn't accept my Webcam drivers, my sound drivers, my flash drive.
Need i go on?
