If someone electrocutes a particularly bizarre combination of atoms tomorrow and creates a bacterium, for no matter how fleeting a second, I would happily concede and accept that the evolution theory (as opposed to the creation theory) has lost a large barrier in it being believable.
You're still thinking evolution. I'm no expert but it doesn't take much to understand that evolution is the process of change over time. Doesn't even have to be about a species. Evolution is evident in everything. It's not the start of life.

that seems pretty possible

THE START OF LIFE != EVOLUTION

THAT IS ALL

allmost religion; including most people who "claim" to be "Christians"

people not accepting the random things in life they refuse to deal with, and people not wanting full responsibility for how life turns out.

inb4 religion war

Fixed.

You realize the theory of evolution is an attempt to dispel the belief that the biodiversity we have today came from some magical source (God), right?

Heh heh.  How can you look down on our "magical" source, when various evolutionists (Carl Sagan, to name one) have said that "since abiogenesis is proven to be false, life must have started from some extraterrestrial act".

doesnt the adam and eve thing mean that their kids had kids with eachother?

Yeah.  There were various conditions that prevented the bad consequences of inbreeding then.

and so on and so on, and one kid got burned and produced a black kid?
and so on and so on?

Wrong.  Only mormons, and some catholics, teach that.

well most Christians don't read the bible lol. and they also don't know anything about their religion's history.

most Christians actually believe in ghosts and believe you become an angel when you die.
when the bible EXTREMELY details what is and isn't true about them.

This is true.  These people, who call themselves Christians when they are obviously not, are the exact people who make an easy target for people like Inverted to falsely say, "All Christians are like these stupid people!".

http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-speciation.html

I already blew that crap out of the water.  Haven't you learned anything from that thrashing I gave you?  You know it's wrong, stop posting it like it's actually proving something.

They didn't  " Just pop up" you dolt. We're a one in a millions of billions of stars that can support life.

And, exactly, how do you know this?  This is a guess made by the "consensus" in lieu of actually finding real evidence to support evolution.

We even made artificial life in labs...

...with non-earth conditions, with human intervention, with the only the best-case-scenario tested.  None of those "artificial life" tests have ever proven anything about evolution.

Hey dumbass, you're talking about abiogenesis NOT evolution.

Evolution has nothing to do with the start of life. It's about the diversification of life.

Since we already know you are handicapped, why do you keep making statements like the above to prove it to us?

Evolution has EVERYTHING to do with the start of life, because why have a "diversification of life excluding God" theory when you don't have a "beginning of life excluding God" theory?

Primordial soup.  Basically, all the elements necessary to create life were on earth, and then lightning struck and allowed things to live. Though I'm no expert, you should consult someone more knowledgeable for a better explanation.

Wow, people are still hanging on to abiogenesis?  This is pathetic.

Evolution doesn't mean all of a sudden everything in a species turned into a new species. If humans evolved, we wouldn't all of a sudden turn into space traveling fish birds. A few people would have children with very small genetic differences, and over time more and more differences between those children and normal humans would develop, eventually creating a new species. The same goes for monkeys.

Oh, that was completely and totally proven and true until this:

eventually creating a new species.

Microevolution, which you just described, does not, and has never been shown to, lead to macroevolution, which was your false addendum.

when we die
we die
end of discussion
a select few go to heaven though
not immediately

You are the exact type of person who claims to be a "semi-Christian" and yet has total ignorance of anything Christianity actually says.  Get out.

This is really the only leg the god theory has to stand on right now,

You mean, besides the fact that there are no other theories available that haven't been disproven?  "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

One of Noah's sons after the flood screwed up bad and he was cursed so he became darker or so the Bible says.

The Bible doesn't say that.  Mormons say that because they are handicapped, but the actual Bible doesn't say that.

How energy first started, is something no one can explain. That is where your faith should come in. However, there is no religion old enough to support how it all started. And there never will. All religion is false.

lolk

We know what started the universe. We just don't know what caused that to happen.

But you'll just bumble around with half-an-explanation because you can't "let a divine foot through the door".

To ponder on how a god could be created in an absence of all else is pure speculation.

This is where the limits of reasoning come into play.  Obviously, the cause-and-effect system is only perceived.  Therefore, in our minds, everything must have a cause, correct?  Well, what was the first cause that set everything into play?  The only conceivable answer is God.

You're still thinking evolution. I'm no expert but it doesn't take much to understand that evolution is the process of change over time. Doesn't even have to be about a species. Evolution is evident in everything. It's not the start of life.

He's thinking abiogenesis.  Without abiogenesis, evolution can't even be a hypothesis.

Logically that makes no sense. Evolution is everywhere. Cultures evolve, technology evolves... everything changes over time. Why would life be the only exception?

I don't like to state that as fact. It makes people uncomfortable.

Surely it depends on how much you wish to assign to God, and how much to 'evolutionary processes' or whatever you believe took over, if you do, after he finished creating. We cannot determine whether god created the bacteria and let it run amok, or whether god went ahead and made a fertile foundation for Earth, or something even more complex. I like to think that the point I took as my example (bacteria from atoms) is not a bad one to start off with, but I wouldn't be so rash as to say that it is the only one, but it is quite popular, and links into the 'evolution from bacteria' concept of which many people are used to explaining the Earth's beginning in terms of.

There are hundreds of theories, but all require life to have come from somewhere, that is, be created. I cannot accept that atoms can develop into life, until I see it. Until then, I am content to believe that some thing created a living creature on an asteroid, Earth, an alien planet or whatever, but something created it.
Atoms don't naturally go and turn into bacteria, and time alone would not be a precipitate for such an event to happen.

I'm Christian, I was born into it, if we're wrong, I'm gonna kick Abrahams ass for making the idea of one god.
I don't see what's so bad about being christian, we all have a religion...even Atheists they are a group believing in no religion, your a cult. Atheists are a cult like the kool kids klub not believing in blacks/Mexicans/Asains your not believing in religion. Most of the people on this forum think Christianity is bad, but what has it really done damage too?
(Besides gay marriage)

INB4Crusades.

I don't have a problem with it. It gives people something to hold onto and believe in. Its good for the depressed, etc, to know, or at least think, that there is someone out there.

Also, The big bang theory is bullstuff. How is it possible that we are made from a chemical reaction of the stars.
That would mean we are just rocks. And....Black people are just burnt rocks. The big bang theory is stuff.
(The show is awsome)

And....I believing Christianity because it gives me  something to hold on to when judgement day or when I die.
It gives me my family in heaven. (If I go there)

A wizard did it.

Life wasn't made out of it. The world was.
